At Dr Toothlittle, pediatric dental surgery is approached with deep care and preparation—starting with a thorough evaluation, clear explanations to parents, and child-friendly techniques that reduce fear and discomfort. From strict safety protocols and gentle anesthesia to continuous monitoring and thoughtful post-care guidance, every step is designed to keep little ones safe, comfortable, and smiling through the entire process.
The procedure involves;
Pre-op safety check (before anything else): Medical history + meds/allergies, focused airway exam, and a “sedation/anesthesia risk” review.
Clear fasting instructions (NPO): Clear liquids: 2 hours, Breast milk: 4 hours, Infant formula/nonhuman milk: 6 hours, Light meal: 6 hours, Fatty meal: ~8 hours.
Toothlittle team + rescue readiness: Our tools and equipment are age/size-appropriate for kids, and medications required for pain-free dental procedures.
Continuous monitoring during and after: Pediatric sedation standards call for appropriate physiologic monitoring during the procedure and through recovery, and discharge only when the child returns to their pre-sedation level of consciousness.
Proper recovery setup: A staffed recovery area and clear discharge instructions are part of the recommended safety system.
Infection control “standard precautions”: Hand hygiene, PPE (gloves/masks/eye protection), respiratory hygiene, sharps safety, and cleaning/disinfection expectations are all done in accordance with international dentistry standards.
